What is refurbished?
Refurbished literally means "restored". A refurbished iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or Samsung is a device that has been sold before, but that has since been professionally checked, tested and, where needed, repaired with new parts. The difference with second-hand lies in that check: with second-hand you buy what you see, with refurbished you buy a device of which every function has been tested and on which you get a 2-year warranty.
How a device is refurbished
- Origin and data wiping. Every device is checked for its origin and completely wiped with a certified data wipe. Nothing of the previous user remains.
- Tested on more than 50 points. Screen, touch sensitivity, battery, cameras, microphone, speakers, buttons, wifi, bluetooth, mobile network, sensors, charging port and more, using professional testing software.
- Repair with new parts. Parts that do not pass the test are replaced.
- Battery of at least 85 %. Every battery has a capacity of at least 85 % of new. If it drops below 70 % within the warranty period, we replace it free of charge.
- Latest software. The device gets the most recent version of iOS, watchOS or Android that the manufacturer offers for that model.
- Cosmetic assessment. The device is given a grade based on visible signs of use (see below). On the inside, every grade is technically completely sound.
The grades: choose what suits you

The grade says something about the appearance, never about how the device works. All grades get the same test, the same battery warranty and the same 2-year warranty.
What's in the box?
Every device comes with a matching charging cable. A charger (adapter), earphones or other accessories are not included, just as with new Apple devices. You will find them among our accessories.
Keurmerk Refurbished
Our devices are refurbished under the Keurmerk Refurbished, the quality label introduced in 2019 by Techniek Nederland together with the market leaders. The label stands for five promises:
- Quality guaranteed: every device tested on at least 50 points, verified through a technical audit by an independent inspection body.
- Two-year warranty on the device and on the battery.
- Uniform grades: A, B and C mean the same thing at every company carrying the label.
- Professional providers: refurbishing is the core activity, not a sideline.
- Financially healthy providers: assessed annually, so that your warranty is still worth something two years from now.
