Warranty

2-year warranty, on the battery too

On every refurbished device we give a 2-year warranty from the delivery date. That warranty applies to the device and to the battery. It comes on top of your statutory rights as a consumer and never detracts from them.

Statutory warranty

As a consumer in Belgium you are entitled to the statutory warranty for consumer goods. A device must do what you may reasonably expect of it. If a defect appears within two years of delivery, it is presumed to have existed already at delivery, unless the contrary is demonstrated. The condition of the device (grade A, B, C or Outlet) is a characteristic you know in advance and is therefore not a defect. You get software updates for as long as the manufacturer offers them for that model; the expected end date is stated with every device.

What does the warranty cover?

  • Screen and touch sensitivity
  • Battery: draining quickly or overheating. Every battery starts with at least 85 % capacity. If it drops below 70 % within the warranty period, we replace it free of charge.
  • Microphone and speakers (except in the case of dust or moisture damage)
  • Wifi, bluetooth and mobile network
  • Motherboard
  • Buttons, charging port and SIM card reader under normal use
  • Cameras and sensors, except where a limitation has been stated in advance (Outlet devices without Face ID or Touch ID)

What is not covered?

  • Drop, impact or moisture damage and its consequences
  • Bent devices, broken camera lens, damaged charging connector
  • Repairs or parts replaced by another party
  • Software that does not come from the manufacturer (jailbreak, root)
  • Normal battery wear down to 70 %
  • On Outlet devices: the limitation stated in advance (Face ID or Touch ID)
  • iPhone 7, 7 Plus and 8 are not guaranteed to be waterproof after refurbishing; we therefore give no warranty on water damage.

Requesting a repair: how it works

  1. Get in touch via the contact form or call +32 56 980 680. Describe the problem; we often solve it over the phone or rule out a settings error.
  2. You receive a bpost return label and a reference. First make a back-up and reset the device to factory settings (switch off "Find My iPhone"). If that doesn't work, pass on your passcode.
  3. Drop the device off at a bpost pick-up point, well packaged and with the label on it. That costs you nothing. We register the IMEI number at purchase, so we recognise your device straight away.
  4. Repair or replacement. We repair the device free of charge or replace it with an equivalent one. We aim to handle it within 5 business days of receipt; with a motherboard problem it can take longer. You get the device delivered back to your home free of charge.
  5. Repair or replacement not possible? Then we refund you according to the table below (this applies to our commercial warranty; for the statutory warranty the statutory rules apply).
Age of the device Refund
0 – 6 months 100 %
7 – 12 months 80 %
13 – 18 months 60 %
19 – 24 months 40 %

No defect found? If we send back a device that turns out to have nothing wrong with it after examination, we charge €29.95 in examination and shipping costs. We always let you know before we send the device back.

Data. We are not responsible for data lost during a repair. So always make a back-up first.
